Sateesh Cherukuri Obituary
Beloved son of RamaRao Cherukuri and Ramadevi Cherukuri, brother to Sreenivas (Vani) and Sreekant (Madhavi)
Sateesh was born in Champaign, IL and resided in Michigan for over 50 years. He graduated from Birmingham Groves High School and the University of Michigan and worked for 30 years as a professional engineer at a variety of positions including the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Most important to Sateesh was his family. He had a particular affinity for children and he was a loving uncle to countless nieces and nephews.
He was an ardent Detroit Lions fan till the very end, and an aficionado of classic American cars, Mad magazine, and the 3 Stooges.
He was dealt a tough hand with regard to his health but he was a supreme fighter, having survived 2 extensive cancers and was an inspiration and role model to us all.
Hindu ceremony will be from 9am-10am on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at A.J. Desmond and Sons, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy MI.
