Savannah Duckworth Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Owen Funeral Home - Dixie Highway on Sep. 11, 2022.
DUCKWORTH, Savannah Kaye, 22, of Louisville, passed away September 10, 2022.
Savannah graduated with honors from Valley High School. The medical program there led her to become a phlebotomist for Fresenius Kidney Care. She was a wonderful caregiver and was always doing what she could to help others, including being an organ donor.
Her adventurous spirit, outgoing personality, and infectious smile led her in many directions. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and riding dirt bikes. She played the piano and the violin. Her love of horses led her to become an award-winning barrel racer and train to become a jockey. Strong and determined, there wasn't anything Savannah couldn't accomplish.
Savannah was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Saylor; great grandmothers, Vivian Childers and Mary Pullen; and great grandfather, Charlie Adams.
She is survived by her daughter, Kali Brock; parents, Chris and Courtney Duckworth; sisters, Madison Saylor; brothers, Dru Duckworth (Kellye) and Brayson Duckworth; niece, Avery Duckworth; grandparents, Shannon Saylor; Debbie Seay (Jack); and Bill Duckworth (Lisa); great grandmother, Betty Holder; and great grandfather, Monty Grubbs (Ann). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins.
Savannah was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will truly be missed by the many people who loved her.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2pm-8pm and Thursday 10am-12pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Savannah's service will be 12pm Thursday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.

My heart is broken for the friends & family of this beautiful human being. Savannah was my daughter's very close friend. I had the pleasure of meeting Savannah when I gave blood at the American Red Cross where she worked with my daughter. Such a sweet, kind & compassionate young lady with an awesome work ethic & genuine passion to serve her
patients. May God bless her family & give them comfort.
