Savino Moglia Obituary

Savino, at the age of 16, came to the United States from Italy. Four years later he joined the U.S. Air Force and served for 30 years. After retiring from the military, he worked for another 15 years for the U.S. Postal Services. He married the love of his life, Marilou Elloren Alapap and they settled in Texas. They celebrated 42 years of marriage last June.
Savino was a devout Catholic and he loved his family dearly. He dabbled in photography and loved to read & write when he wasn't trying fix something around the house.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Fermo and son, Pete.
Savino is survived by his loving wife, Marilou; his son, Rick Moglia and daughter, Joanna Pete; mother of his children, Sylvia; three grandchildren, Catherine Moglia, Austin Lahood and Annie Lahood; one brother, Marino Moglia; two sisters, Antonia Sartori and Emelia Chiappari; Cousins, Gayle McAlexander, Rene Singler, Ray Moglia; Andrea Moglia; Nephews, Fabrizio Chiappari. Leonardo Moglia, Giovanni Moglia, and Marino Moglia; Nieces, Francesca Moglia, Enrica Sartori, Veronica Moglia, and Antonia Sartori.
Services:
Viewing and Rosary: Nov. 12th from 5pm to 7pm. Rosary will start @ 6pm. Beck Funeral Home 1700 E Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 Mass: Nov. 13th @ 10am at Saint Mary Cathedral 203 E. 10th St, Austin, TX. 78701
Followed by the Funeral Services @ 2:15pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209
