Scott C. Alexander, 55, of Falcon Avenue, Warwick, RI, passed away with his loving family by his side, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of 25 years to Kerrie E. (Miller) Alexander.
Born in Mansfield, MA, he was the son of the late James and Nancy (Blay) Alexander.
Scott graduated from Toll Gate High School Class of 1988. He served in the Army from 1988 to 1993 and then in the Army National Guard for 10 more years. He was a member and a referee for the Rhode Island Football Officials Association (RIFOA) and was an avid member of St. John's #1 Providence Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, and a Scottish Rite member. Scott worked for the RI Sheriff's Department for over 25 years and was also a firearms instructor. He loved flying and was in the process of getting his pilot license this year.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his dogs Koko and Shadow, his two sisters, Debra Mahoney and her husband Rick of West Warwick and Bonnie Gravier and her husband Steve of Coventry, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and Friends are invited to gather in the parking lot at Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and then we will proceed to the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery for inurnment with Military Honors at 12:00 p.m.
