Scott William Hogberg (1954–2025)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott William Hogberg, age 70, who departed unexpectedly on September 14, 2025, at his home in O'Fallon, Missouri. Born November 26, 1954, in Burlington, Iowa, Scott embodied hard work, dedication, and love.

Scott served with the St. Louis County Police Department as a dispatcher until his retirement in 2014. He was known for his steady presence, his care for others in their time of need, and his belief that with hard work anything could be accomplished. He was a devoted family man, a supportive friend, and a respected colleague who will be

deeply missed.

Outside of work, Scott enjoyed the outdoors-spending time at the family cabin, taking long walks, and working in his garden. He found peace in the quiet of nature. He was also an avid investor who loved sharing his knowledge to help others prepare for the future.

Scott was the beloved husband of Sandra "Sandy" (née Winkelhoch) Hogberg, his loving wife of 34 years. He was a devoted father to Daniel, Laura (Matt), Susan, and Scotty, and a proud grandfather to Bennett and Preston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Hogberg and Joan (née Holst) Hogberg, and his sister Susan Peterson. He is survived by many loving siblings, in- laws, nieces, and nephews: Don, Nikki, Brian, Matt, Andrew, Christopher, Alexa, Angie, Chris, Christi, Stephen, and Rachel.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Hutchens- Stygar Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO 63304. Funeral

services will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Our Lady Cemetery, 8701 Orf Rd, Lake St Louis, MO 63367.

Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made to The BackStoppers, Inc. (backstoppers.org) in Scott's memory.
