Our world is sad today with the passing of Scott Masters on July 24th.

Born in Denver, CO September 20, 1977, raised attending schools in Arvada, the town he called home. Graduating from Arvada West High School and Colorado State University.

A lover of all sports, participating in Arvada youth baseball, Arvada Hockey, A-West and Ft. Lewis College golf teams, CSU Club Hockey.

Taking his first job with media relations at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst before taking a stint with the NHL Florida Panthers. He became their first video coach and the youngest one in the NHL.

During a strike period, he returned to the University of Denver hockey team as a volunteer coach. He was hired by the St Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche, before progressing to be a professional scout for the Montreal Canadians. In 2013, Scott was the video coach for the United States Men's National Team, winning the gold medal in the Ice Hockey World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden.

He became a Real estate broker while continuing his involvement in sports and fitness, often being a guest analyst on local sports media.

Two achievements of his were to raise funds for mental health awareness by completing his own "10k to 10k", running a 10k consecutively DAILY for 71 days to raise $10,000. The following year he walked a million steps in the month of May for the same cause.

He is survived by his children Amari (Ryanne), 15 and Ben 13. His parents, Bob and Kathy Masters, brother Tyler(Christa), Nephew Gabriel, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.

Graveside Services Monday August 5th, 1PM, Crown Hill Cemetery. Staging Area C.

Celebration of Life Tuesday August 6th 4-8PM. Ralston's Crossing Event Center 7400 Indiana St, Arvada.
