Scott McClure, 72, of New Braunsfel, Texas was born on July 19th, 1950 in Slaton, Texas. He is the son of Charles and Sarah (Parmon) McClure. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Sunset Inn Health Center in New Braunsfel, Texas.
Scott received his bachelors degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. He worked in the insurance business for over forty years as an Insurance Broker.
He married Anna Krumins on April 28, 1973 in Dallas, Texas, to this union they had one son Alex. They later separated in 1998.
His passion was golf, he also enjoyed sailing, living aboard his yacht for many years after his retirement, and listening to the Beach Boys.
He was known for his quick wit, excellent stories and his compassionate spirit.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Those left to cherish his memories include his son, Alex and his wife Erica of Salem, Oregon; four grandchildren, Austin, Rachel, Clark and Hailey McClure all of Salem, Oregon.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sarah McClure, one brother Steven McClure.
Memorials can be made to the charity of the donors choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma 73648.
