Scott Francis Paris, 42, of Downingtown, PA, passed away July 21, 2023.
Born May 31, 1981 in Media, PA, he was a son of Jane (nee Barnes) Paris and the late Francis J. Paris.
Scott graduated from Henderson High School in 1999. While growing up Scott was very involved in Boy Scouts from ages 6 to 18, earning the highest rank of Eagle Scout in 1997. He attended Susquehanna University where he earned a bachelors degree in bio-Chemistry. While at Susquehanna Scott was an active member of the track program. Scott went on to earn his masters in Chemistry at his beloved Villanova University. He loved science and spent the majority of his career working as a Protein Chemist.
Scott had many hobbies and interests. He loved to travel and especially love family trips to Sunset Beach, North Carolina. On his many trips Scott loved to golf and was an avid photographer. Scott was a civil war buff who loved history. He loved spending time with family and friends. Scott had a special place in his heart for his nephews Ben, Jack, and Joey. He loved Villanova basketball.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Laura Paris Shadow (Daniel); his nephews: Benjamin Shadow, Jack Shadow, and Joseph Shadow, and his uncles and aunts: Robert Barnes (Sharon), Dianne Krumm, James Paris, Jerome Paris (Nancy) and Janet and Kevin Stern.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 16247 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 1 Scouting Way, Exton, PA 19341, or the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, 8085 Saltsburg Rd., Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15239.
