Scott Rice, born on March 1, 1958, in East Liverpool, Ohio, passed peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Salem, Ohio. He is remembered as a devoted family man, who found joy in the simplest pleasures of life.
Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, a testament to his character and dedication. On August 15, 2015, he married Dianne (Tunnat) Rice, who has been by his side throughout their journey together. Beside his wife he is survived by his son, Scott Rice, and stepfather to Christie Watkins, providing unwavering support and guidance to his blended family. He delighted in being a grandfather to Ryleigh, Niya, Maddex, and Cashton, cherishing every moment spent making memories with them. Scott also leaves behind two sisters, Penny (Rick) Roberto and Jeri Hartline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jerealdene (Byers) Rice.
Scott's interests revealed his love for the outdoors and companionship. He enjoyed camping and fishing, where he found peace amidst nature's embrace. One of his fondest pastimes was playing catch with his beloved dog, Dixie, creating moments of joy that defined his spirit.
Per his request cremation will take place with no services being held. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Salem, Chapel. (330) 337-6363.
