COLUMBIA – Scott D. Wheeler, 49, died unexpectedly at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, after a long period of ill health.
He was born in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 27, 1975, a son to Robert W. and Marie (Pineo) Wheeler.
Scott was a man who loved his family, and enjoyed family get-togethers, and he especially loved being with his grandchildren and all his nieces and nephews. He loved music and was a self-taught guitar player and singer. He was a talented artist who loved to draw, and he loved Native American culture along with wildlife and all things in nature. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.
Scott leaves behind his three children, Nicholas Wheeler of Colebrook, and Kaige and Starla Wheeler of Colorado; his father, Robert Wheeler; four siblings, Angel Wheeler of Colebrook, Joseph Wheeler of Canaan, Vt., Thomas Wheeler of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and George Collins of Berlin, N.H.; four grandchildren, Chance, Edyn, Emma and Azlynd Wheeler; as well as nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his mother, Marie Wheeler.
There are no public services scheduled. Scott will be privately interred at the Colebrook Village Cemetery at a later date.
