High Point – Scotty Lee Sexton, 66, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at his residence.

Scotty was born on February 20, 1959, in High Point to the late Lonnie Moss Sexton, Jr. and Frances Joanne McCarter Sexton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Curtis Sexton.

Scott graduated from T. Wingate Andrews in 1977. He went on to the University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill to get his B. S. In Pharmacy. Scott worked as a pharmacist in the High Point area for more than 30 years and loved helping people everyday. He loved to get the chance to go golfing or a trip to the beach whenever possible. He loved coming out in the summer to the GAA softball games to watch the kids from when they were 6 all the way up til they were 16. He was especially proud that his two eldest children graduated college on scholarships. He was so excited to see Jacob grow up into this great, young man, with beautiful curly locks! He would come home to a house full of neighbor's kids always sleeping over, going on trips with us, or every rescue animal coming home to our house! A few of those he picked out! He was kind, sweet and my best friend for so many years. The Scott I knew as a husband and father will not be easily replaced. I hope he will be at peace now.

Scotty is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Anne Brady Sexton; children, Bellamy Wesley Sexton (fiancé, Rebecca Klebaner) of Pennsylvania, Maggie Elizabeth Sexton of Lexington, Jacob Alexander Sexton of the home; sister, Susan Holden of Raleigh.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, from 4-6 pm. Cumby Family Funeral Home at 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point.

Condolences may be shared on Scotty's tribute page at www.cumbyfuneral.com.
