Sean Patrick Davis, age 26, of St. Louis MO, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his residence.
He was born September 8, 1997, in Belleville, IL, the son of Patrick and Mary Kay (Reeves) Davis of Shiloh, IL.
Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers: Ryan Davis of Shiloh, IL and Drew Davis of Edwardsville, IL; two grandmothers: Lois Reeves of Belleville, IL and Judy Davis of Las Cruces, NM; four aunts: Liz Sparks of Menomonee Falls, WI; Laura (Greg) Stewart of Sarasota FL, Rita (Bill) Foster of Belleville, IL, and Pam Davis Porter of Henderson, NV; four uncles: John (Mary) Reeves of New York, NY, Joe (Ruth) Reeves of Troy, IL, Tom Reeves of Belleville, IL, and Jamie Reeves of Belleville, IL; 14 cousins, and more friends than we can count.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers: Norman Reeves and Rodney Davis.
Sean served at Covenant Theological Seminary as their Admissions Recruiter from July 13, 2023, until his passing. Previously, he had served as the Youth Director at Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church in Suffolk, VA, Pastoral Intern at All Souls Church of St. Louis, and Pastoral Intern at Community Bible Church in Swansea, IL.
Sean brought energy and fun to everything he did, at the workplace, with friends, and at family gatherings. When he entered the room, you knew he was there, and you knew you were going to laugh and have a good time. Sean made deep connections and cared deeply for everyone he knew. He always had time to listen, encourage, and pray. He was passionate about theology. His family tagline was "Theology Matters!" He loved music, camping, running, and, judging by the sheer volume of books he owned, he clearly loved reading. He was a bright light who knew and loved the Lord and wanted everyone else to know Him, too. We will miss him greatly.
The funeral service will be held at Covenant Theological Seminary (12330 Conway Road
St. Louis, Missouri 63141) on Friday, March 22nd at 4pm. Doors will open at 3:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established in Sean's memory, which will help provide scholarships for new students at Covenant Seminary. The link to the website is https://www.covenantseminary.edu/give-now
