Sean Robert Gates

Sean Robert Gates, passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 39. Sean was born on October 25, 1985, in Canton, OH, and spent many cherished years, surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.
Sean's spirit shone brightly through his many passions and vast talents. He was a proud graduate of Sandy Valley High School and worked diligently in roofing as a "gunner". As the lead singer and rapper of the band "White Bread," Sean brought joy and rhythm to the lives of those around him. He had a natural ability to connect with others, sharing laughter and unforgettable moments, particularly during his adventures traversing the woods on his four-wheeler and cruising on the back of his brother's motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred "Rocky"; all of his grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.
Sean was a devoted father to his beloved children, Max, Breydan, Brody, and Axle, and he leaves behind a supportive family: his father, John (Kim); brother, Jesse (Kathy); sister, Miranda; many aunts and uncles including, Jack, Laura, Jan, Sandy; numerous nieces, and nephews including, Rocky, Ezra, Kaleb, Emmalynn; and countless cousins and friends including best friend, Jake.
In celebration of Sean's life, calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel (705 Raff Rd SW, Canton, OH 44710). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the family as they navigate this difficult time. As we remember Sean Robert Gates, let us cherish the incredible joy he brought into our lives and the music that will forever echo in our hearts.
