Sean M. Griffin, age 54 of Dannemora died unexpectedly at his home on October 6, 2025.
He was born May 6, 1971, the son of William and Sandra (Bradley) Griffin.
Sean graduated from Beekmantown High School in 1990. He went on to work as a manager at Little Caesars Pizza, before entering the NY State Department of corrections in November 1999. He retired August 2020. Sean met the love of his life Crystal (Gifford) and the two were married on October 16, 2010. They enjoyed traveling and took many trips together.
Sean loved all Sci-Fi movies and playing World of War Craft and Dungeons and Dragons. He loved to fish and was well enough to go this past summer with his brother. Recently, he discovered a liking of basketball and began watching Boston Celtic games and insisted on traveling to Boston to watch them live. The highlight of his night was being filmed and getting on the jumbotron for the world to see!
Sean is survived by his parents, brother Todd A. Griffin (Jenn LaDieu), sister in-law Debbie Griffin (Ricky Yelle), nieces and nephews William Griffin, Brandon Griffin (Tia), Colbie Griffin (Kevin), Katherine Griffin, and Matt LaDieu (Zoey). William Griffin dedicated the past three years to assist Sean so that he could remain in his home. For that we are thankful.
Sean is predeceased by his wife Crystal Griffin and his brothers Keith and Ben Griffin.
Visitation will be on Thursday October 16, 2025 from 5-7PM at the Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in West Plattsburgh Union Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
