Sena Sue (Harmon) Platt, 71, a longtime Lowell resident, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 19 at D'Youville Senior Health Care Center. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Platt with whom she had shared her life since they were teenagers.
She was born on August 9, 1954 in Banner Elk, North Carolina she spent her early childhood in that area. She was a daughter of the late Vault Harmon and the late Margaret (Richardson) Harmon and her family moved to the Lowell area and settled here when she was a teenager. She was a lifelong member of the Calvary Baptist Church on Hastings Street in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell Trade School.
Boots, as she was affectionately known, loved art and especially drawing and music. She was employed as a waitress in her younger days at the 5&10 in downtown Lowell. She had a heart of gold and she did her best to show love and kindness to everyone she met throughout her life.
Besides her husband of over 47 years, Thomas J. Platt of Lowell, she is also survived by her 4 children, Sue Harmon of Lowell, Sena Harmon of Lowell, Thomas Harmon of Lowell and Ray Platt and his wife, Jillian Pagan of Lowell, she is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters, Vault Harmon of Lowell, Randy Harmon of Lowell, Karen Leduc of Lowell, Jane Noon of New Hampshire, Mary Harmon of Lowell, Mark Harmon of Lowell.
She also leaves behind her close family friends, Nancy Rios, Victoria Mercado, Linda Pollari, Asuncion Mendez, Veronica Tiburcio and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, the late Sandra Harmon and her siblings, the late Raymar Jenks, the late Doug Myers.
