Wilbert proudly served for 30 years in the U.S. Army Retired as a Sergeant Major, Medical Specialist, Two Rounds in Vietnam, Overseas Service Bars.
After retiring from the U.S. Army for many years Wilbert drove a Medical Waste Truck.
Wilbert was married to his beloved wife Joyce until she succumbed her death 7 years & 1 day from his passing. Their Wedding Anniversary was on his birthday. When Wilbert was asked, "Did you get married on your birthday so you wouldn't forget when it was, he would say emphatically NO! With Joyce also employed in the Army they were both in Okinawa Japan and Wilbert saw another Army gentleman taking an interest in Joyce and he didn't want her swooped up by him, "LOL".
Wilbert LOVED the LORD with all his heart, Life, his family and of course his dogs and cats. Wilbert was very sociable; he liked to cook and break bread with folks. He had quite a few gifts and hobbies, one being an amazing painter/artist along with gardening including his vegetable garden and canning, he loved all kinds of music. Wilbert's generosity goes beyond words he was a Blessing to many. Wilbert was a strong man he had such a caring sensitive side always wanting to make sure everyone was good. He had an infectious hardy laugh.
After falling ill fighting a good fight, Wilbert Williams passed away peacefully on the afternoon of April 22, 2025, in his home in Schertz, Texas.
Wilbert was preceded by his parents, siblings and wife: Jake Earl Williams, Sr., Elizabeth Williams, Jimmy Let Williams, Claude Williams, Esaw Williams. Joyce Rebecca Williams.
Wilbert is survived by his Siblings: Lonnie Ray Williams (Clara Williams), Patricia Ann Henry, Edward Williams (Geraldine Williams), Glenda Gale Johnson, Linda Jean Williams, Jake Earl Williams Jr. (Denise Williams), Stanley Larosa Williams, and a multitude of nephews, nieces and cousins.
