Shae Stephen McCusker
1995-2025
Marlton, NJ
Shae Stephen McCusker passed away suddenly on June 28, 2025. He was 30 years old. Beloved son of Rose Branca (nee Glavin) (Jay Branca) and the late Stephen J. McCusker. Beloved brother of Brittany and Aedan McCusker, Melanie Branca, and Emily
Jackson. Fiancée of Kelly Ethridge. Grandson of Stephen McCusker and the late Veronica McCusker, Kathleen Glavin and the late Francis Glavin, Paula Direso. Also survived by his dog Stella, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shae attended Cherokee H.S. before attending Kean University where he graduated with a criminal justice degree. He then graduated from the Camden County Police Academy at the top of his class and went on to join the Waterford Township Police Department. He wanted to be a police officer to emulate his father since he was 5 years old. All he wanted to do was make a difference. When life took him in a different direction, he followed his fiancée Kelly for a wonderful opportunity to live briefly in Dallas, Texas and upon returning to New Jersey he began a new career with Paycom.
One word that keeps coming up as we remember Shae is "lucky". Lucky to have known him, lucky to have loved him, lucky enough to hear him laugh and see him smile. He was the life of any party and the absolute best of us all.
Shae loved life so much and lived it to the fullest. He always had a smile on his face and a joke in his back pocket to put a smile on yours. If you had the privilege of ever seeing him whip out a dance move, then you know he loved to make everyone laugh. Them hips don't lie and neither do the finger guns he locked in on each side while shuffling back and forth.
Still, his love of life was pale in comparison to the love he had for his family, his friends, and, of course, his true other half, partner and best friend, his fiancée Kelly.
What he wanted most in this world was to create an amazing life for Kelly and their dog Stella girl. And a Bud Light; he wanted that, too.
Shae was a man that poured his love into everyone and everything; the life of the party. And so, we ask that you help us keep his memory alive in kind, the way he wants it: an Irish wake. Please join us for the below services to celebrate Shae's life. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Friday July 11 th from 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Bradley Funeral Home, Rt. 73 & Evesham Road, Marlton, NJ. Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Celebration to follow at Little Mill Country Club starting at 2:00 PM.
