Shakina L. Spann-Tarrio was born on April 10, 1987, in Jackson, MS to the beloved mother Shelia Spann and Father Tommy West. Shakina accepted Christ at Philadelphia Ministries under the leadership of Rev. Stacy Brown. Shakina attended Clinton High School and later went back and received her GED. Shakina was employed at Christ United Church in Jackson, MS where she worked in the daycare facility. She loved taking care of the children and they loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband Denorris Tarrio. A loving mother Shelia Spann and Father Tommy West. Two sisters, Kayla Spann Jackson, MS, Crissy Cavett of Dallas, TX, two brothers Hashim (Shanay) Johnson, Chicago, IL and Christopher West, Clinton, MS. Maternal grandparents; Linda Spann, Clinton, MS, Willie C. (Jeanette) Spann. Paternal grandparents Deloris West Price. Mother and Father-in-law, Mr. Phillip and Ruby Kelly of Jackson, MS. Three aunts Gwendolyn Spann, Clinton, MS, Sandra (Torriann) Marsha, Jackson, MS and Terry (Eddie) Lee, Edwards, MS. Three uncles Corey (Monique) Spann, Clinton, MS, Cliffton Spann, Clinton, MS and Carl West, Chicago, IL. Percy Guy Jr. (God Brother), Arlington, TX. One sister-in-law, Candance (Jermiahan) Hudson of Houston, TX. Two brothers in laws Larry (Millicent) Williams, Zacious (Nakita) Frazier both of Jackson, MS and a host of great aunts and great uncles, cousins and friends. Shakina was proceded in death by her paternal grandfather Sidney West Jr., Uncle Ron West, Great Grandmother Onella L. Perry and Great Uncle Johnny E. Perry.
