Shaniel Williamson

Shaniel "Catty" Williamson was born on February 11, 1987, in St. Catherine, Jamaica. A ray of sunshine, Shaniel brought joy to the lives of everyone around her until her transition on May 21, 2025.
Shaniel lived a life deeply rooted in compassion, strength, and purpose. With courage and determination, she built a life centered on service, family, and joy. As a proud mother of five to Michael, Matthew, Gabrielle, Jaylen, and Jayden-she poured everything into raising her children. They were her world, and her legacy will live on with them.
Professionally, Shaniel found her calling as the Director of Activities at the independent living community, Garden Plaza. She was a caregiver and brought her infectious energy to work. Her residents adored her-not just because she took care of them, but because she truly cared. She danced with them, laughed with them, and gave them her heart.
Shaniel found happiness in simple things-cartoons, silly YouTube videos, or a quiet corner with her phone. Her laugh was infectious and often lit up a room. Whether she was dancing or cracking jokes, her energy lifted those around her.
Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing her spirit lives on-in her children, in our memories, and in the love she shared.
Rest peacefully, Shaniel. May your spirit dance freely now, surrounded by the love you gave so generously in this life. We are better for having known you, and we will carry you with us always.
