Shannon L. Moore, 56, Kearney, Missouri passed away April 10, 2025 at Kansas University Cancer Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Christ Fellowship Church, Kearney, Missouri. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wayside Waifs, City Union Mission or Kearney Food Pantry.
Shannon was born August 22, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri to Ronald and Janice Moore. He graduated from Kearney High School and attended some college. He worked for Platte Clay Electric as an IT specialist.
Shannon was a very kind and gentle man. He always did everything he could to take care of his wife, family and friends. He never met anyone he didn't turn into a friend. He loved God, his family, his church family and all animals. He especially loved his cats. He loved working with feral cats to bring them in and give them a home.
Shannon loved going on trips to Eureka Springs with his wife. They loved visiting all the events, shops and restaurants together. One favorite memory was driving to Carthage in the fall, just to see the maples in "bloom".
Shannon always looked forward to annual trips to a big corvette car show with his Dad. Later, he continued the tradition by taking his nephews on annual trips. He loved playing the guitar and working on guitars. He liked fishing, hunting and mountain bike riding. He enjoyed old car shows, visiting botanical gardens and watching the Royals.
Shannon had a great sense of humor and he was quick to laugh at himself. He had a "little" obsession with Route 66. He and Diane went on a handful of adventures trying to find the "mother road".
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Diane Moore; mother, Janice Moore; sister, Mindy Gursing; nephews, Caleb, Micah and Asher; brother-in-law, Greg (Karen) Newton, nephew, Tanne and niece, Stormi.
