Shari Kay Williams, 89, of Excelsior Springs, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Valley Manor Rehabilitation Center in Excelsior Springs.
Shari was born on November 18, 1933, in Henrietta, the daughter of James Archer and Lucille Frances (Hewlett) Bruce. She was united in marriage to William Jesse Williams of Excelsior Springs, on June 22, 1963; he preceded her in death on October 3, 2016.
Survivors include: three sons: Brian A. (Brenda) Williams of Excelsior Springs, William J. "Billy" (Betty) Williams, II, of Lawson, and Keith L. (Stefany) Williams of Platte City; two daughters, Kandi (Dan) Daulton of The Woodlands, TX, and Barbara D. Schuette of Excelsior Springs; daughter in law, Kenna Williams of Excelsior Springs; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bruce Williams, and two sisters Kari Smith, and Freida McBride.
Shari was reared and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from the Lexington High School in the class of 1951. Over the years, she worked as a bookkeeper for several law firms; she worked for many years at Hale, Kincaid, and Waters Law Firm in Liberty. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, reading, dancing, big band music, jazz music, and doing embroidery.
Visitation with graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, with visitation from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. in Cravens Cemetery, Camden. Please share your memories of Shari with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
