Kay was retired from Bluestone Health Center with over 30 years of service. Kay was a kind and gentle woman, who was loved dearly by all who knew her. She was a member of Lashmeet Church of God for 38 years. She was well known in the community for her charity and goodwill toward many families. She was a hometown hero for her work with toys for the area children during Christmas. She has touched the hearts of many people. She also loved her Bluestone Health Center family (her girls).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by loving husband of 39 years, Danny (Hector) Brim.
Left to cherish her memory include her son, Shannon Brim and wife Rebecca of Greenville; grandsons, Bradley Brim of the home and Dylan Brim of Huntington; brothers, Roger Stables and wife Paula of Sophia, David Stables and wife Ann of Lashmeet and Jackie Stables and wife Debbie of Princeton; sisters, Patty Hartwell and husband Timmy and Rita O'Dell all of Princeton, who were her special caregivers during her illness; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay also had some very special friends, Edna Blevins, Shari Agnew and Debbie Johnson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Gary Raulerson and Rev. Jerry Heaton officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Brim, Dylan Brim, Jamie Conner, David Allan Farley, Cameron Coppola and Brandon Stables. Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Hartwell, Phillip O'Dell, Justin O'Dell, Danny Johnson Sr. and Jared Conner.
In lieu of flowers, it was Kay's wish that unwrapped toys be brought to the funeral home and displayed. All toys will be donated to the Lashmeet-Matoaka area children's Christmas program.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.bailey-kirk.com.
