Sharon A. Forshee, "Sherry" to many, Mom to her children, and Nina to those who loved her most dearly, left this world on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
Born in Greer, SC, on July 16, 1965, she was a daughter born to Martha Owens and Alvin Howard.
Sherry was kind to a fault. She would help anyone, no matter who they were or what they needed. She saw people not for their flaws, but for their hearts. She gave her love freely, often without expecting or receiving anything in return. She loved everyone, but too often struggled to love herself. She loved by the Golden Rule, not just in words, but in every part of who she was. She was a light for others, even when her own path was dark. We wish we could have shown her what she showed to everyone else, that she was worthy; that she deserved kindness, compassion, and all the love she poured so endlessly into the word.
She loved to sing, and her voice brought warmth and joy to those who heard it. She created beauty with her hands, crocheting gifts, crafting love into every stitch. Sherry was a beacon of kindness, dedicating her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in local nursing homes. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her profession; she embraced everyone she met with warmth and open arms, often seeing the good in people long before they saw it in themselves.
Her legacy of kindness and love will forever be remembered in the hearts of her parents, Martha, and Alvin; three children, William Howard, Crystal Presson, and Alysia Forshee; seven adoring grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
She was reunited in Heaven with her son, Cordell Forshee.
A memorial service to honor her life at a later date.
Though her time with us feels far too short, her impact on our lives is something that will never fade. We will carry your spirit with us in every act of kindness, every handmade blanket, and every moment we choose love over judgment. Thank you for being our mom, our Nina, and our Sherry; but most of all, thank you for being you.
