Sharon Lee Leonhardt, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on August 9, 1948, Sharon was a lifelong Louisville native and the beloved daughter of Thomas and Ruby Westfall.
Sharon was a loving mother, devoted nana, and a loyal friend to many. She had a rare gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and cared for—whether they were family, lifelong friends, or someone she had just met. Known for her amazing temperament, Sharon was never mean to anyone and was kind almost to a fault. She truly had a heart of gold and would do anything she could to help those around her.
Over the years, Sharon earned the affectionate title of “Queen of the River” among her friends and fellow Harrod’s Creek folk, where she built friendships, listened without judgment, and made every place she worked feel like home.
Though she was known and loved by many, Sharon was also a proud homebody. She embraced her role as the “crazy cat lady,” doting on her beloved cats who brought her endless joy. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed collecting clocks, each one a small treasure. Sharon also cherished her time with Jack—riding Harleys, attending F.O.P functions, and simply enjoying one another’s company and companionship.
Sharon Lee Leonhardt lived a life rooted in kindness, loyalty, and love. She leaves behind countless memories, stories, and smiles that will be carried forward by all who knew her. She will be deeply and forever missed.
Sharon is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Roberts; brothers, Bruce Westfall and Tony Whitehouse; and her parents, Thomas Westfall and Ruby Justice Whitehouse.
Left to cherish her memory, Sharon is survived by her children, Kim Roberson, April Case, and Nick Leonhardt; grandchildren, Matt Roberson, Zack Roberson, Dallas Roberson, Shelby Roberson, Lucas LeJeune and Emmett LeJeune; great-grandchildren, Willow and Oakley; siblings, Bo Whitehouse, Norma Whitehouse, and Theresa Whitehouse; many cousins and a host of extended family and close friends.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Ms. Sharon Leonhardt will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
