Sharon Lee (Barnes) Minich, 89, of Clinton, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 27, 2025. Sharon was born in Wetmore, Kansas to James & Lucille (Martin) Barnes on January 9, 1936.She grew up on a farm in Camdenton then Quincy, Missouri. She graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1953. Sharon loved like on the farm with her 5 siblings and parents. They enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and most of all fishing. They made so many wonderful memories as a family. Sharon married Donald Minich on June 2, 1956. They were married for 67 years up until Don's death in 2022. They moved to Clinton in 1957 to make their home for their entire married life. Their son Gary was born on March 24, 1967. Sharon and Don shared a love of fishing, gardening, canning and spending time with family and friends. One of their biggest loves was spending time with her son Gary and grandsons, Gavin, Garrett and Grant. The boys spent countless hours outside with Don on the tractors, and just having fun. Upon moving to Clinton, Sharon worked for Union State Bank for 10 years then went to work for the Division of Employment Security for 22 years and then retired in 1998. Sharon was very involved in the church. Making pies, helping with dinners and belonging to several committees. Her church family and helping others was a big part of her like. Sharon always put everyone and everything before herself. She quoted to us that "Work without meaning is no work at all". Sharon was blessed to have 5 siblings, Shirley Oviat, Carol Parsons, Mary Temple, Patty Frankenfield, and Jim Barnes. Sharon is survived by her grandson, Gavin Minich, 2 step grandsons Garret and Grant Mayes, all from the Kansas City area, Jim and Judy Barnes of Clinton, brother in laws, John Frankenfield and Jim Parsons, cousins Fred Bunch and numerous nieces and nephews, and very special friends Annette Myers and Jeff Klassen. Preceding her in death were her parents Jim and Lucille Barnes, sisters Shirley Oviat, Carol Parsons, Patty Frankenfield, Mary Temple, mother-in-law Ann Horn and son and husband Gary and Don Minich. Sharon will be greatly missed by all that loved her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
