Sharon was the daughter of Ralph and Helen Snoberger. She was raised on the family farm in Phillips, Nebraska. Sharon graduated from Aurora High School in 1952. She married Alan H. Nissen on January 11, 1953. Sharon and Alan returned to the family farm in Marquette, Nebraska after Alan's completion of military service in 1955.
In 1972 they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska and purchased Bollesen Electric. A new opportunity to teach electronics became available in 1987 and they moved to Athens, Texas. After ten years they retired to Grand Junction, Colorado. Sharon was employed throughout her life as a bookkeeper and accounting assistant.
Sharon is survived by her children Scott (Judy) Nissen, Hampton NE, Susanne (Brandon) Berguin, Grand Junction CO. Her grandchildren Jacob (Rachel) Nissen, Brunswick GA, Justine (Jason) Erickson, Palmer NE, Jesse (Natalie Bohac) Nissen, Lincoln NE, Jed (Rachel) Nissen, Des Moines IA, Jacqueline (Shane) Raymer, Wichita KS, Brandon (Michelle) Berguin, Parker CO, William (Jenna) Berguin, Grand Junction CO, Brittany (Brandan) King, Long Beach CA, Katlin (Taylor) Mills, Rowlett TX, Allison (Andrew) Holmes, Abilene TX, and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Alan and daughter Kristin Hood.
A gravesite burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church, Kronberg NE, in the Spring of 2026.
