Sharon (Shay) K. Couch Scamardo, age 79, of Bartlesville passed peacefully the morning of Thanksgiving Day 2024.
Sharon was born November 3, 1945, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Joe Couch (Pilot WWII) and Irene Couch (Beautician). Granddaughter of Victor Clark Couch, County Commissioner and Oil/Gas Man. Sharon grew up and received her education in Nowata and Alluwe High School graduate in New Alluwe in 1963 with a Cosmetology Degree. Sharon's Instructor was her mother Irene Couch.
While stationed in Germany, she worked as a beautician and learned the German language. She continued for many years working as a beautician in Nowata, Tulsa and Bartlesville, even after retirement. Sharon loved being a hairdresser and enjoyed crocheting, decorating her home and being around her family. Sharon loved recounting memories of her and her father flying to Tulsa from Alluwe to pick up Knotty Pine BBQ. Sharon's father would let her fly the plane back to Alluwe.
Sharon and her family are members of the Delaware Tribe of Indians and the Cherokee Nation.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Irene Couch, her divorced husband Johnny F. Scamardo, and her two sisters Vickie Williams and Cindy Newman. Sharon is survived by her Children; Johnny and Paula Scamardo, Victor Scamardo. Grandchildren; Isabella Scamardo, Skyler Scamardo and Tristan Scamardo. Three Nieces; Sherry Cambell, Melodie Murphy and Kristen Flick.
