Sharon Regina Schneider, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully after a short illness on October 12, 2025. She was born in Ottoville, Ohio, on August 26, 1938, to the late Leo and Evelyn (Ball) Brickner.
Sharon was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Dayton, Ohio, and went on to earn her nursing degree from St. Rita's Hospital School of Nursing in Lima, Ohio. She later received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
On April 11, 1959, Sharon married Glen Schneider. Together they built a beautiful family and shared 28 loving years until his passing.
While raising her family, Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse in both Ohio and Arizona until her retirement.
A woman of deep faith and boundless generosity, Sharon devoted countless hours to service. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Phoenix and an active member of the Christ Child Society, where she crocheted baby sweater sets and sewed teddy bears for children in need. She also shared her gifts with St. Joseph's "Knit Wits" group, creating prayer blankets and baby sets, and she volunteered faithfully with St. Joseph's Adoration of Jesus and St. Mary's Food Bank.
Sharon is survived by her children Christine (Tim) Fraker, Charles "Chuck" Schneider, and Glen Schneider Jr.; her grandchildren Andrew (Laurean) Fraker, Tyler Fraker, and Taylor Schneider; and her great-granddaughter Kollyns Fraker. She is also lovingly remembered by her dear friends Cathy Ceranski, Karen LeDuke, and Shirley Hennessy.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glen, sister Sheila Korte, in laws Everett and Virginia Schneider, sister in law Olvene Hill and brother in law Moreau Schneider.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Phoenix on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.
