Sharon Sue Scott, 75, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. Sharon was born on December 20, 1949, to Orval Worley "Lefty" and Mary E. Bluthardt Harden, in Topeka. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1967.
Sharon married Ronald Scott on September 13, 1969, to this union, two sons were born, Mike and Jeff. Sharon and Ron were married for 50 years before his death in January of 2020.
Sharon was a secretary at Dover Grade School and loved it. Sharon enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, crafts, cooking, and her dog, Ellie May. Sharon took pride in her home and family, always making sure everything was perfect. She really loved making her home inviting and beautiful for every season, and she loved having everyone there for holidays or just a weekend dinner. It took her a lot of time and energy to make homemade noodles and homemade dressing, and all the things that go into hosting a holiday meal. The older you get, the harder it is to do something like that, Sharon just loved watching everyone enjoy it so much that she did it as long as she could.
Sharon's main pride in life was her family. She loved them more than anything in the world.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Michael Scott (Melissa) of Waxahachie, Texas; Jeff Scott of Topeka, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Ron, her parents, and two sisters, Nancy and Peggy.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Fire Department, Ladies Axillary, or Honor Guard, in care of the funeral home.
