Sharon Souder Thompson

Sharon Souder Thompson, 77, of Georgetown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1947, in Covington, Kentucky to the late Andrew Souder and Ruth Gaugh Souder. On June 13, 1970, she wed her husband Charles Edward Thompson who preceded her in death.
She was a member of safe Harbor Baptist Church. She loved her work, feeding students throughout Scott County and retired from Scott County Board of Education. She also worked at Georgetown College.
She is survived by her sons Charles Andrew Thompson, and his wife, Kelli of Georgetown and John Thompson of Raeford, North Carolina. She has five granddaughters Sydney (Will) Parker, Andrea (Quinn) Brown, Jada Thompson, Mya Thompson, Whitney Thompson and two great grandsons Adonis and Kacey. She also has many other very loved family members and friends that she calls family. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, Bryan and Barton Souder.
Funeral services will be held at Tucker, Yocum and Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown Kentucky on Thursday, September 11 with visitation 11 am- 1pm service from 1pm-2pm with burial at Georgetown Cemetery to follow.
