He was born on May 8, 1992, in Anderson to Debra Hickerson and had lived in the Alexandria area for most of his life. Shawn was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School-Class of 2011. He later enrolled in the apprenticeship program of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #855 where he became a journeyman electrician in 2013. Shawn was a "jack of all trades" and could fix almost anything. He loved working on cars and was always willing to step up and help friends and neighbors with mechanical issues. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and dirt track racing. Shawn liked NASCAR and followed Dale Earnhardt Sr. He was an amazing father and good husband. Shawn was always willing to help anyone at any time

Shawn was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather-Floyd Hickerson, Uncles-Rob Hickerson and Glen Ball, his paternal grandparents.
Private family services will take place followed by cremation.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Owens Funeral Home through their website owensmemorialservices.com to assist the family with final expenses.
