Shawn E. Hudson
Age 51, of Crest Hill, IL, originally from Hazel Crest, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 23, 2024. Shawn was born to and was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Hudson Gyurko (nee Mills). Shawn was the dedicated and loving father of Cal Hudson, his best buddy, and Avery Hudson, his beautiful lefty. He was devoted to making every moment with them a lasting memory. Dear brother of Scott (Liz) Hudson, Susan McMann, and Christine (Matt) Conlon; cherished uncle of Aaron (Jill), PJ, Drake, Abigail, Adam, Grace and Colton; and proud grand uncle of Eleanor and Elijah., Loved nephew, cousin and friend of many. Shawn was with UPS for 10 years most recently in the role of supervisor. He was an avid Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, and White Sox fan. He loved spending as much time outdoors as he could and encouraged those around him to love it too. He never missed a good day at the beach with his kids, always staying for sunset. Shawn’s positivity, warmth and kindness had a lasting impact on those around him; whether through massage therapy or words of affirmation. Shawn will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox IL on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 3pm – 8pm.
