Shawn David Wenzel
Hemlock, Michigan
Our fun loving, adventurous, and outgoing son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend, passed away on March 29, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. Age 38 years.
Shawn was born on February 17, 1985, in Saginaw, to Tammy (Duranso) Grandy and Brian Wenzel. He enjoyed playing the lottery, woodworking, art, ATVs, and anything to do outdoors. Shawn was a daredevil and always getting into trouble. He was also a kind person who could talk to anyone and was always ready to give out compliments.
Shawn is survived by his father, Brian Wenzel; mother, Tammy Grandy; a sister, Nicole (Andy) Godek; grandmother, Nancy Duranso; his beloved dog and three cats; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents and step-father, David Grandy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at W. L. Case & Company, 201 North Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-8:00 pm on Friday at the funeral chapel, as well as from 10:00 am Saturday until the time of the service. The family asks those in attendance to come as they are: you would've been complimented no matter what you're wearing. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Special Olympics.
