Sheila Irene Latham Fulmer was born on October 26, 1953, in Dumas, TX. She was a woman of extraordinary warmth, grace, faith, and resilience.

Sheila began her journey in Dumas, Texas, before eventually settling in Midlothian, where she spent 22 years of her life. Throughout her career she upheld the highest standards of hard work, duty, and responsibility at the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and Vought Aircraft. She had lots of interests which included singing, crocheting, and baking. Her creativity was evident in her beautifully detailed crafts, makeup, and holiday decor. She was known for her caring nature and making everyone laugh. Sheila's faith in the Lord was unshakeable, and her love for her family was boundless. Her and her husband met at the Dallas County Sheriffs Office and were friends for years before they were married on September 29, 1979. She was the best wife, mother, sister, Gigi, and friend that anyone could have asked for. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Fulmer, her children Shannon Thompson, Sean Fulmer, Harlan Fulmer, and Renita Ortega, her brother Lonnie Latham, and her grandchildren Reid, Reese, Courtney, and Zachary, as well as other close family members.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Florene and B.E. Latham. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate to have known her. As we remember Sheila, we invite you to join us for visitation on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00am at the Midlothian Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm at the same location.

As we celebrate Sheila's life, we invite you to share your memories and photos of her on the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a testament to the remarkable life she led and the profound impact she made on each of us.
