Publish in a newspaper

Sheila H. Hornack of Bruce Township, formerly of Ortonville and Rochester Hills, passed away on October 20, 2025, at 82 years of age.
Loving mother of Kimberly (Scott Bentley) Newton, Kyle (Sandra) Newton, and Brian (Melissa) Newton. Proud grandmother of Kenny Jr., Alex, Michaela (Griffin), and Dominick (Tiffany); and cherished great-grandmother of Elijah. Dear sister of Sylvia Campbell.
Sheila was an independent, active woman with a zest for life and a twinkle in her eye. She worked for Rochester Community Schools in many capacities over the years, including as secretary at Rochester High School, within the Transportation Department, and at the Board Office for Special Education. She later served as Supervisor of Transportation for Charlotte Public Schools.
Deeply devoted to her community, Sheila volunteered with the Kiwanis Club's Key Club for youth, the Rochester High School Band Boosters, and served as Director of Costume Design for Rochester High School productions. In her spare time, Sheila enjoyed traveling, quilting, knitting, and sewing-quilting being her greatest passion. She loved attending quilting retreats, which sometimes included a zip-lining adventure or two. With her warm smile, kind spirit, and adventurous heart, Sheila will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial Luncheon at the Italian American Cultural Center 43843 Romeo Plank Rd #1, Clinton Township, MI 48038 on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
