It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Sheila Louise (Andreoni) (Kushnieruk) Prescott at the age of 87. Sheila passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.
Sheila was the eldest daughter of Gino Luigi and Gertrude Helen (Anderson) Andreoni. She is predeceased by her parents and younger sister Marion "Chickie" (Andreoni) Sullivan. Sheila grew up in Lynn, MA, graduating from Lynn English High School and attended Salem State University.
Sheila lived in Tewksbury for the past 48 years, where she raised her loving family. She was a fierce and passionate woman who was very proud of her gardens and enjoyed entertaining. She was devoted to her church, the Tewksbury Congregational Church, and was a very active member of the Women's Connection group and Holiday Friends. She was an avid member of Red Hat Society. She loved sewing, knitting and sharing fantastic recipes with her family and friends. She was wildly creative, and it always showed in how she provided for others, whether it be a meal, mittens or donating her time to various causes. She was a selfless provider and generous to everyone around her. She leaves a legacy of kindness may have been the best Christmas card writer of her generation.
Sheila was the beloved wife of Warren E. Prescott Sr.; they were happily married for 48 wonderful years. They enjoyed many years antiquing in Vermont and New Hampshire. They also loved to vacation in Arizona, Montana, Oklahoma, and England.
Sheila was the loving mother to seven children and their spouses: Cheryl (Prescott) and her husband George Bevans, Warren "Scott" and his wife Margaret (Curtin) Prescott, Karen (Kushnieruk) Poulson (deceased), Kristen Kushnieruk (deceased), Julie Prescott and her partner Mary Dunavant, Peter Kushnieruk and his fiancé Deb Giddings, and Stefanie (Kushnieruk) and her husband Danny DeLuca.
Sheila was grandmother to ten grandchildren and their spouses: Lucas and Carrie (House) Bevans, Joshua and Whitney (Bakker) Bevans, Nicole (Bevans) and Jason Espinoza, Alexandra (Bartlett) and Patrick Camp, Jesse and Jenni (Greene) Prescott, Millie Prescott and Sophie Corvus, Brendan Curtin, Charlotte Kushnieruk, Nicholas Kushnieruk, and Chase DeLuca.
Sheila was great-grandmother to nine greatgrandchildren: Sophia Bevans, Lucas Bevans, Mya Bevans, Sam Camp, Sheldon Prescott, Ezekiel Bevans, Levi Bevans, Mila Espinoza, and Kaia Espinoza.
The family is grateful for all the support from family, friends, church members, and others too numerous to name, as well as the amazing All Care hospice care Sheila received in her home.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Celebration of Life ceremony on Saturday, October 11th at 11am at the Tewksbury Congregational Church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tewksbury Congregational Church or the American Heart Association.
