Sheila Kay Harrison Smith, 72, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away on October 31, 2025. Born on September 17, 1953, Sheila was known for her love of family, dogs, antiquing, and interior decorating.
Shelia graduated from Douglas County High School in 1971. She began a career in dentistry, and then devoted much of her professional life to The Coca-Cola Company, where she began as a secretary and advanced to a role in Information Technology. Later, she worked alongside her brother Danny in construction, home building, and land sales. Her friends and family remember her as funny, social, and brilliantly smart.
Sheila was the beloved daughter of the late Roy and Louise Harrison of Lithia Springs, GA. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Frankie Harding of Douglasville, GA, and Janice Heard of Marietta, GA.
She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren, Tanner, Kate, Jack, and Louise Smith of Mount Juliet, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Jean Harrison of Lithia Springs, GA; sister, Cindy Schmitt of Douglasville, GA; life-long friend Michele Rush of Zephyrhills, FL; and many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Douglas County Humane Society.
