RICHVILLE – Shelly R. Woods, age 54, of Richville, passed away at home on April 6, 2025.
There will be no public services. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Shelly was born on February 15, 1971 in Watertown to the late Donald and Ethel (Streeter) Manning. She graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1989 and married David L. Woods on May 10, 1997 in Gouverneur.
Shelly worked at the Great American, Sugar Creek, White's Lumber, the Dollar General, and Save-A-Lot before retiring due to her health. She was a loving person who cared about others. She enjoyed making crafts, baking, making candy for Christmas time, and having her Mountain Dew. Most of all, she loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David Woods, her sons, Taylor Woods and his wife, Alexis, and Tyler Woods and his fiancé, Kayla Powers, brothers, Kevin Manning and lifetime companion, Mary, Dale Manning and his wife, Erica, David Manning, and sisters, Cindy Mullin and her husband, Mike, and Donna Jesmer and her husband, Steve. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Landon, Liam, Kamden, and Tate, her fur grandbabies, Bandit and Rex, many nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Shelly is predeceased by her parents, a brother, Donald "Sam" Manning Jr., and a sister, Sonya Manning.
Donations may be made in Shelly's memory to the Richville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 51, Richville, NY 13681.
