Sherilyn Q. Gerecke, born on March 13, 1977, in the Philippines, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Beavercreek with her family by her side. Known for her warm spirit and artistic talents, Sherilyn was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt, whose family meant everything to her.
Sheri is survived by her father, Karl J. Gerecke; and sister, Brandi (David) Crockett. She leaves behind two nephews who she cherished as sons, Brandon and Joshua, along with four nieces, Madison, Callie, Karlee, Faith; two great-nephews, Jameson, JaTerrious, and a great-niece, Elani. Preceding her in death were her beloved mother, Milagrita "Elvie" Gerecke, and her sister, Glady Gerecke. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who continue to honor her legacy. Sherilyn's passions encompassed a variety of interests including reading, arts and crafts, writing poetry, and engaging in entertaining video game sessions with her boys.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service. Sheri will be laid to rest with her mother and sister at Byron Cemetery.
