Sherone Edjar James Hurst was born to the late Edjar James and Eva Nelly Hurst on July 6, 1962 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ.
He is preceded in death by his older brother Ronald Merlin and 2 aunts Mary and Sister.
Sherone liked to be called Sherone Skyy Hurst the First and don't you forget it. He graduated from vocational school in 1981 and later in life joined the Marines for a 3 year tour, where he got to use the cooking skills he learned.
Sherone lived life to the fullest and was well known to tell a joke or pull a prank to keep the good times rolling. He also enjoyed playing basketball and pool. And not far away during the good and bad times, you could always find him. His favorite cousins Tinker, Mousie and Doc at times to keep the party going. The love between them was unbreakable. On a good day you could find his 2 aunts Tony and Doris, whom he loved dearly and the feelings were reciprocated.
Sherone leaves to mourn him a life long best friend, like no other, Marcelino Guerrero, 2 sisters Lannavia Wright and Robin Merlin, a brother Eric Hurst, 2 nephews he loved like they were his own Rasheeno "Dink" Merlin and Sherone "Bubba" Merlin, a precious niece Tinka Harvey, a wife of 37 years Jodi Hurst, 2 children Cherone and Cassandra, a granddaughter Caryle, uncle Mickey and a host of other family and friends.
