It is with extreme sorrow to announce the passing of Sherry Lynn Bray, who passed away November 7, 2025, in Burlington, IA.
Born in Hannibal, MO February 5, 1975, she was the eldest sister of 5 siblings. She lived most of her life in Burlington, IA.
Sherry was full of life and passionate about the things and people that she loved. These include (but are not limited to) going to clear water beaches where she could snorkel with the marine life while gathering unique shells, coral and rocks, thrifting amazing finds at local shops with family and friends, dancing and singing with her grandchildren, cloud watching with her grandchildren and finding shapes and animals in them, watching her shows, being around her children, and laughing and living life while being genuine and true to herself. She always lit up the room with her charismatic energy and big, beautiful smile. Simply being in her presence felt warm and inviting like you were safe and at home. Her embrace was always heartfelt and meaningful. The smell of her Coco Chanel was a scent that was undeniably HER. Words cannot express the heartache and void Sherry's absence carries. She will always be remembered with the fondest of memories and immense amount of love.
Sherry leaves behind her partner of 23 years, Jon (and his children and grandchildren); her three children, Letty, Leah, and Ponce; and numerous grandchildren, Alyvia, Carmyn, Lysette, Lele, Zy, Nana, Loaly and Zeliani, whom she loved more than anything in this world.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street.
The funeral service for Sherry will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Prugh Funeral Service, 3940 Division Street. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
Prugh Funeral Service is in care of the arrangements.
