Sherry Lynnelle Freeman Bundy, age 43 of Bennettsville, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House.
Sherry was born February 2, 1980, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of Sandra Chavis Williams and the late John Lite Freeman, Jr. Sherry was a graduate of Marlboro County High School. She then earned her associate degree in graphic design at Northeastern Technical College. Sherry was currently attending classes at St. Andrews University, working toward a bachelor's degree in hospital administration. She also worked at St. Andrews University as a financial aid advisor. She attended Bennettsville Church of God. Sherry enjoyed music, hunting, and sitting on mama's front porch. She also loved spending time with her kids. They enjoyed trips to the beach and "hanging out" at the lake. Sherry loved all her family and cherished her time with them.
In addition to her father, Sherry was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Marissa Freeman, and maternal grandparents, James E. and Pauline Chavis; paternal grandparents, John Lite and Helen Haney Freeman.
Sherry is survived by her children, Caleb Drake Bundy and Marisa Grace Bundy, both of Bennettsville; her mother, Sandra Chavis Williams (Floyd Coxe) of Bennettsville; a sister, Lauren Danielle Williams (Garrett Strickland) of Loris; several other extended family members also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at the Bennettsville Church of God. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.
A time of visitation of will be held on Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Bennettsville Church of God.
