Sherry Kiper

Sherry Kiper, age 75, of Carthage, Texas, passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 26, 2025, at her home near Carthage. Sherry Ann Tompkins was born on December 29, 1949, in Beckville, Texas to the late Burley and Nellie Ruth Alley Tompkins. She graduated from Beckville High School with the class of 1968, and attended Panola College where she earned a cosmetology certificate. Sherry married William Kiper on May 4, 1968, and they enjoyed almost 57 years together. Sherry was a member of Youngblood Freewill Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her adopted daughter, Karen Lynn Whipple and two brothers, Charles Eli Tompkins and Jimmy Ray Tompkins.
Sherry is survived by husband, William Kiper; daughter, Toni Rene Roberts and husband Richard; son, William Thomas Kiper and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Karen Lynn Mathis and husband Jeff, William Bryan Jacks, Weston Elliott Kiper and wife Zoe, Della Gayle Kiper, and Lucy Emma Grace Kiper; great-grandchildren, Teagan Marie Jacks and Elena Grace Kiper; and special friends, Heather Litton and Ken and Kathy Bellmore.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Anderson and Bro. Bob Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Youngblood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Bubba Kiper, Bryan Jacks, Weston Elliott Kiper, Ray Kiper, Kevin Ray Kiper, and Bobby Beach.
Honorary pallbearers are Larry Tate and Ken Bellmore.
