Sherry Ann Thomason

Sherry Ann Thomason, formerly known as Sherry Barnett, was born on February 29, 1948, in Union City, Tennessee. She departed from this life peacefully on October 9, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Sherry was a devoted member of Tumbling Creek Baptist Church, where her faith was an integral part of her life.

Sherry was a loving mother to her son, David (Courtney) Thomason, and her daughter, Cathy (Paul) Brown. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Natalie Thomason, Paul Thomason, and Brenden Thomason, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ivan Thomason and Eryx Thomason. Sherry is also survived by her brothers, Matthew and Glenn Goetz, who shared many cherished memories with her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Thomason, as well as her parents, William Harrell Barnett and Virginia Lucille Bradberry. Sherry has now gone home to meet her Lord and Savior and her husband, embracing the peace that comes from a life well-lived.

The visitation for Sherry will be held on October 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home, located at 279 W Main St, Dresden, TN 38225. This will be followed by a graveside service at 3:30 PM in Lebanon Church Cemetery at 185 Lebanon Church Road, Dresden, TN 38225. Bro. Gene Price will officiate the service, honoring her memory and the impact she had on those around her.

Sherry was a passionate dog lover, reflecting her kind heart and nurturing spirit. Her love and dedication to her family and her faith have left a profound legacy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
