Sherry Ann Titzer, a cherished soul whose life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and faith, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in
Evansville, Indiana with her family by her side. Born on July 28, 1954, in Mayfield, Kentucky, Sherry's journey was one marked by warmth, resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
A proud graduate of Central High School's class of 1972, Sherry's academic achievements were only the beginning of a life filled with purpose and service. She dedicated over 35 years to Mead Johnson, where her work ethic and camaraderie were an inspiration to her colleagues. Beyond her professional endeavors, Sherry was the passionate founder of A Time to Stitch, where she infused her love for embroidery and sewing into every thread and fabric.
Sherry's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Her belief in the Lord's grace was as steadfast as her love for her family. She was a beacon of light, guiding those around her with her unwavering spirit and kindness.
Her personal life was a beautiful reflection of her heart's capacity to love. Sherry's 42-year marriage to her beloved husband, Alan Titzer, was a testament to enduring companionship and mutual adoration. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, support, and an abundance of cherished memories. As a devoted mother to her son Anthony Titzer and daughter Chelsea Titzer, Sherry's legacy of love and strength will continue to flourish through them.
Sherry was a beloved sister to Terry VanWinkle, Desiree Riat, Jacqueline Lykins, Horace Luther III (Skeet), Steve Willoughby, William Luther, Debbie Cunningham, Dana Charles, and Kimberly Brinkley. Her life was enriched by their shared moments and the unbreakable bond of sibling hood. Sherry now joins her late parents, Horace Luther II and Betty Cunningham, step mother Joni Luther and step fathers Jack Willoughby and Daus Cunningham as well as and her siblings Kimberly Marquez and Mark Willoughby, in eternal peace.
During retirement, Sherry continued her embroidery business, traveled with family, and relied on her unwavering faith and wisdom to guide her children through the pursuit of their goals and dreams. Together with her husband, they savored the golden years with resilience and love.
Sherry Titzer's life was a beautiful illustration of love in action. Her memory will be held in the hearts of those she touched, a lasting reminder of her compassionate soul and the difference one person can make in the lives of many. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate the enduring impact she has left on our world. Sherry's spirit, like a finely stitched quilt, will continue to provide comfort and inspiration for generations to come.
Sherry's family would like to welcome everyone to a memorial service on Friday November 14, 2025 at 4pm. All are ask to visit from 3pm until service time at Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center and Cemetery.
