Darlene Renee Titzer, a cherished soul whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on February 8, 1967, to the late Lawrence and Naomi Thornton, Darlene's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the joys of small-town life.

A proud graduate of New Harmony High School in 1985, Darlene carried the spirit of her community with her throughout her life. Her dedication to helping others led her to a fulfilling career in nursing, where she served with compassion and care at Bethel Manor for many years. Her colleagues and patients alike will remember her for her gentle touch and reassuring presence.

Darlene's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her beliefs with a quiet strength, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of her Bible. Her love for the Lord was evident in her every action, and she was a beacon of light for all who knew her.

An adventurous spirit, Darlene found joy in the great outdoors. She was an avid horseback rider, feeling most at peace while riding through the countryside.

Left to honor her memory are her devoted siblings, Mike Thornton, Larry Thornton, and Barbara Minor. Each of them will carry forward the legacy of love and kindness that Darlene exemplified. Her best friend, Twila Mills, will miss the deep conversations and the laughter they shared, but will forever hold onto the precious memories of a friendship that stood the test of time.

Darlene's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her spirit will continue to guide and comfort them. Her life was a journey of faith, love, and service, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. As we say farewell to Darlene Renee Titzer, we celebrate the profound impact she made on this world and take solace in the knowledge that her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
