Connie Kay Boger, a beacon of love and care in her community, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 71. Born on June 7, 1954, in Herlong, California, Connie's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and the joy of simple pleasures.

Connie's journey began as the cherished daughter of Jack and Dorothy Neilson, and she grew up alongside her loving siblings, Jack and Brenda Neilson, and Ginger and Jon Miller. Her formative years in Herlong were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family, a theme that would resonate throughout her life. After graduating from Bosse High School, Connie's nurturing spirit led her to become a beloved daycare provider and a Sunday School teacher, roles that allowed her to touch the lives of many families in her community.

In her personal life, Connie's heart belonged to her husband of 50 years, Jerry. Together, they built a life rich in love and mutual respect. Their union was blessed with two sons, Travis and Shane, who, along with their wives Megan and Laura, gave Connie the joy of being a grandmother to Jasmine, Dakoda, Dylan, Jaxon, Alexis, and Brandon. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and her grandchildren will carry forward the lessons of compassion and joy she instilled in them.

Connie's love extended to her extended family, including her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dave and Diann Boger, and Cindy Ingram, who will remember her as a sister in spirit and a friend in heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dorothy Neilson, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Pat Boger, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.

An avid crafter and cross-stitcher, Connie found solace and expression in the intricate patterns and designs she created. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for hiking and camping, activities that brought her closer to nature's beauty and serenity. Her faithful pet, Daisy, was a constant companion on her many adventures and a source of unconditional love. She also enjoyed bird and squirrel watching and feeding them. Connie also had a green thumb and was incredible at her flower garden.

Connie's legacy is one of unwavering care and devotion. She was a loving wife, a caring mother, a doting grandmother, and a friend to all. Her gentle spirit and kind heart left an indelible mark on everyone she met. As we bid farewell to Connie Kay Boger, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that will continue to inspire kindness and love in the hearts of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories, laughter, and love she shared with each of us.
