Carolyn C. (Elpers) Titzer, 80, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Carolyn was born in Evansville, Indiana on October 29, 1943 to the late Valeria (Rexing) and Sylverius Elpers, Sr. She worked as a manager at Subway in Deaconess Hospital. Carolyn was a faithful member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In her free time she loved to exercise at the YMCA. Carolyn was an avid baseball and NASCAR fan. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold Titzer of Evansville, IN; sons, Jeffery Titzer (Rachel) of Lynnville, IN and Kevin Titzer (Amy Rhodes) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Rosemary Blaze (David) and Barbara "Barb" Jean Spear (Bob); brothers, Flavien Elpers (Kathy), Eugene Elpers (Earlene) and Sylverius Elpers, Jr. all of Evansville, IN; grandson, Hayden Titzer; step grandchildren, Tanner Rupple (Erin Reinbrecht), Madison Dossett (John, Jr.), Kaya Arnold and Alora Arnold; and by step great grandson, John Henry III.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; and by sister, Debbie Givens.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Father Jason Gries officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the YMCA, 516 Court St., Evansville, IN 47708.
