BIRDASHAW---Shirley Ann Birdashaw passed on her birthday August 17, 2025 She was preceded in death by her adoring husband Harry L. Birdashaw (nick name was Birdie). Along with her parents Lowell and Sarah Moss and her sisters Virginia Smithey of Dalton Georgia and Carolyn Johnson Petty of Panama City, Florida.

Survived by her loving brother Lowell Walton Moss, Jr. whom she called Buddy and his wife Beth.

Shirley leaves behind her daughter Diane Carter (John) of Jacksonville Florida and son Harry L. Birdashaw,Jr.(Gloria)of Hainesville, Illinois. Along with her Grandsons Eric Carter, Bradford Birdashaw and granddaughters Michelle and Brooke Birdashaw and Daniela Sergiyenko and great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews who always stayed in touch with their Aunt Shirley.

She was a loving Mother, wife , sister and friend who was always there for everyone, she will be missed. She traveled the world as an Army wife with her Birdie. Spent the last 40 years in Orange Park where she and her husband retired then moved to Mandarin to live with her daughter the last 5 years of her life. She passed away surrounded by loved ones on the morning of her 90th birthday to be with her Harry.

In honoring her wishes, memorialization is by cremation. Shirley will be laid to rest with her husband in the Garden of the Last Supper at Jacksonville Memory Gardens. All are encouraged to share photos, condolences, and other remembrances of Shirley on the Tribute Wall here
