COLLOM, SHIRLEY J. of Novi, formerly of Waterford; August 4, 2025; age 92; Loving wife of the late Harold Collom for 51 years; Cherished mother of Brenda Collom and Kathy Duffie; Dear sister in law of La Verne and Suzanne Collom, Kenneth and Maryls Collom, Barbara DeMent and Paul and Marilyn Collom; Beloved grandmother of Becky, Misty, David and Bonnie; Also survived by several great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Warren and Inez Allen, sister Jeanne Skutt, brother Wayne Allen, granddaughter Mary Gamon, brothers and sisters in law Frank and Debbie Collom, Dale and Norma Gilbert, Victor and Wanda Collom, Darlene Colom and Loyd DeMent. Mrs. Collom was a graduate of Clarkston High School. She worked for the General Motors Corporation, Truck and Bus Division for 36 years. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angela Hospice.
